Sigurdsson says he may take a holiday. Seems he wants to now consider his options and see what offers come in.

I still expect Liverpool to come in for him, and I'm still surprised clubs like Newcastle haven't got involved. Attacking midfielder's like him don't grow on trees, and at £7m he's an absolute snip!

According to http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/06/01 ... idfielder/:
Liverpool have put in a bid for Marouane Fellaini. Who is a Central Midfielder would sort of suggests BR is not looking at signing Siggy

Thanks for adding the source.

Brendan Rodgers has now confirmed Liverpool's interest if Sigurdsson chooses not to sign for Swansea.

I think he will do well at Liverpool, it will be interesting how they get on under Rodgers. In my opinion his successes at Swansea were down to the foundations left by Martinez

Reading have had an offer accepted by Hoffenheim.

Liverpool still very much the favourites for his signature though, but I would now say Reading are second in line. It's very unlikely he will now go to Swansea. Brendan Rodgers was key to that move.

SSN are going to run an article later quoting Gylfi Sigurdsson as saying he no longer wants to go to Swansea, and that Rodgers leaving changed things. He wants to stay in the Premier League, and that is seemingly a two horse race now - Liverpool and Reading.

We've had a bid accepted? I saw someone put it on twitter but thought it was unreliable.

Shit I got for saying Liverpool wanted him a few weeks back, and looks like he is going there now

Look set to sign for Liverpool according to the reports in the papers today.

Although im not sure whether this is them creating a story with Sigurdsson currently on holiday. They also quote him wanting to speak to the new Swansea manager...

The BBC claim Liverpool are close to signing Gylfi Sigurdsson for £8m. The attacking midfielder is now in talks with Liverpool.

The media have finally caught on to Sigurdsson being in talks with other clubs than Swansea and Liverpool - As mentioned on May 31st, Reading are one of those clubs, but realistically we know we cannot compete with a club like Liverpool for his signature.

Reading will be entitled to a sell-on of somewhere between 10-20%.
